Mahurangi Regatta
Generally* held at Sullivans Bay
*In the event of a strong easterly forecast, at Scotts Landing
- Early The Jane Gifford departs Warkworth
- 9 am Entries (for sailing events and log race)
- 9–11 am Launching of small boats participating in regatta
- 11 am Shoreside events commence—dinghy, kayak, open kayak, swimming, running, three-legged, sack, spud and spoon, water run, egg throwing, blindfold boat, lost-the-dinghy-oars, rowed inflatable, sand sculpture,—and any other event suggested that seems a good idea at the time! (enter by presenting at starting line)
- 12.00 pm The Jane Gifford assumes her station as start boat
- 12.30 pm–2.30 pm Sailing events (and launch log race) commence
- 4 pm Tug-of-war (grand finale of shoreside events)
Mahurangi Regatta Prize-Giving and Dance
Held at Scotts Landing
- 10 am onward Mahurangi and marine art exhibition
- 5.30 pm-ish The Jane Gifford anchors off beach (visitors welcome)
- 5.30 pm Gourmet burgers (served all evening—proceeds towards event costs)
- 6 pm Cash bar opens (licenced area—no BYO—proceeds towards event costs)
- 6.30 pm Art auction (proceeds towards event costs, balance to the Jane Gifford)
- 6.45 pm Prize-giving
- 7.30 pm Dance commences: Prohibition Big Band
- 10 pm Bar closes; Last dance
Sunday morning at Scott Homestead
- 7–11 am Coffee and croissants
- 7–11 am Mahurangi and marine art exhibition
