Seventy-one vessels ranging from 14 to 183 tons burdenestimated tonnage of a vessel based on length and maximum beam, totalling 3406 tons, give or take the spar-station’s workboat, were built in the Mahurangi Harbour, with the latter exception, in the three decades ending 1880.
